    Cool.
    Thinking of getting one.
Just have to check the legal side in Quebec.
That may not be so good, hoping it is.

    • Will :

      Hello Michel.

Here is a link to the SAAQ which covers the legal requirements for our electric scooters and electric bicycles.

      http://www.saaq.gouv.qc.ca/en/accident_prevention/bicycle/power_assited_cycle.php

Feel free to call us at the shop and we can answer any questions you may have about the legalities and requirements.

      regards,

      Will

        Hi,

Could you tell me where I can see the price of your products? This is the first thing comes to mind of everyone instead of all those details.

        Best regards,
        Alex

        • Will :

          Hi Alex,

The pricing for each of the products is located just above the specifications for each of the models. We will keep it in mind for our next update to make the pricing more visible. Thanks so much for your comments.

  3. OT :

    Hello,

I was just wondering about the road legalities of these.
Do you know a motorcycle license to drive them? Also are they highway drivable? And what kinda of fuel expenses are you looking at for a typical drive to work and back every day?

Feel free to reach me by email.

    Thanks!

    • Will :

      Hello OT,

All Scooteretti products are classified as “Power Assisted Bicycles”. This is a transport Canada regulation which allows these products not to require any drivers licence, insurance or plates. In Ontario, the riders must be 16 years of age or older and in Quebec they must be 18 years of age or older. However in Quebec there is a special scooter licence that those who are aged 14-18 may obtain and would then be able to operate these products. Power Assisted Bicycles and Limited Speed Motorcycles (gas scooters) are not permitted on any highways due to their maximum speed of 70km’s/hr or less. For additional information you can visit the Ministry Of Transportation for additional information http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dandv/vehicle/emerging/index.shtml#power. Hope this helps answer your questions.

  5. AK :

    Love the red retro look!

Just wondering whether these are viable during winter (to ride and to store outside under a tarp?) and how safe they might be to lock up outside on a nightly basis? Thks!

    • Will :

      Hello AK,

Great to see you love the Dolce Vita in red. Like anything on 2 wheels one must be more cautious when the roads are slippery (snow and ice). With each winter season getting more mild the season for riding scooters, bicycles etc…. is longer. With that being said riding any vehicle when calcium (salt) has been applied to the roadways will require you to do additional preventative maintenance to your scooter (lubricate, clean and protect exposed areas on the scooter. When parking your scooter we really do recommend keeping it protected from the elements. Keeping your scooter under a tarp will not adequately protect your investment from premature aging due to high levels of humidity. If you do not have storage Scooteretti offers winter storage of your scooter in our secure and climate controlled warehouse.

  6. Claude :

Question: which type of scooter would you recommend for a guy like me, I’m 6’2″, 200. The price isn’t really an issue, it’s more what I’d look like on one of those. Which one would best proportionately match my size?

    • Will :

      Claude,

Thank you for your posting on our site. The scooters that would typically suit someone who is 6′+ are the Dolce Vita’s and Urbano’s. We have several clients who are 6′ and above and they are quite pleased with either one of those scooters.

Certainly you are welcome to come by the store and try both bikes out and it would be our pleasure to assist you in finding a scooter that meets your needs.

  7. Hello Will,

A rider of just over 200lbs living Gatineau. I was wondering with the Lithium Ion battery what sort of distance would i expect to get out of this vehicle. Also can the battery be taken out to be recharged each night?

    • Will :

      Hello Dave,

When trying to determine what a an electric scooter or electric bicycle will give you in terms of range is dependent on several factors. One needs to consider to total load applied to the vehicle, terrain (hilly or flat), will there be minimal stops or lot’s of stop and go’s such as city driving, motor output etc….. A good estimate for the average person is that a Dolce Vita equipped with base level lithium batteries will get you approximately 45-60kms in range per charge. Indeed the Dolce Vita, Urbano and Stella electric scooters are equipped with removable batteries that allow for recharging away from the electric scooter.

We hope this answers your questions and certainly feel free to contact or visit us at the shop and it would be our pleasure to answer any questions you may have.

      Will

  8. Dave :

Hello, one other question do you repair electric scooters that are not from your store? I have a scooter that has two flat tires and they are tube tires. I emailed the other store but no one ever called me back or sent an email back. They just lost a customer so i was wondering if you do this as i would like to give my old scooter to my younger niece. I am looking at getting a new one yet I have not decided which I want to get … from your store I mean. Thanks for your replies they are really appreciated. Have a great day.

    • Will :

      Dave,

If we have the parts for your model of scooter we can certainly do this repair for you. Please give us a call at the shop and we can arrange a day and time to have this done.

      Will
